The Gunung Kidul Scout Movement (Kwartir Cabang Gunung Kidul) conducted an official working visit to the Banyumas Scout Council (Kwartir Cabang Banyumas) on Saturday, 24 January 2026, at the Scout Activity Center of Kwarcab Banyumas. The visit is aim to gaining direct insight into the achievements and strategic approaches employed by Kwarcab Banyumas in developing Eagle Scouts (Pramuka Garuda).
The delegation from Kwarcab Gunung Kidul was led by its Chairperson, Nunuk Setyowati, S.Pd., M.M., and was formally received by the Vice Chairperson for Young Member Development of Banyumas Scout Council, Irawati, S.E., accompanied by the First Secretary, Wahyu Handoko, S.Pd., S.M., and the Second Secretary, Pudjatman Agung, S.E.
In her remarks, Irawati emphasized that the working visit represented an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration and synergy among scout branches, particularly in the area of youth development. She noted that the development of Eagle Scouts requires a structured mentoring system and sustained collaboration between branch councils, scout leaders, and scout units.
Banyumas Scout Council has demonstrated consistent success in Eagle Scout development. In 2025, the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) officially recorded the inauguration of 13,149 Eagle Scouts under the theme Banyumas Cinta, Bangga, Paham Rupiah. This achievement builds upon previous accomplishments, including 515 Garuda Scouts in 2021; 1,713 in 2022; 9,299 in 2023; and 16,901 in 2024.
The Chairperson of Gunung Kidul Scout Movement, Nunuk Setyowati, expressed her appreciation for the warm reception and the opportunity to learn directly from Banyumas. She stated that the visit formed part of it’s strategic efforts to improve the quality of scouting education, particularly in preparing young members to achieve the Eagle Scout rank.
The working visit is expected to provide valuable references and practical insights for Gunung Kidul Scout Movement in strengthening its Eagle Scout development program. More broadly, the activity reflects a shared commitment to enhancing inter-branch cooperation in order to produce Eagle Scouts who demonstrate strong character, high achievement, and competitiveness at both national and international levels.
